A dolphin experience for all ages! The dolphins at Dolphin Academy will steal your heart with this fun, intimate, and interactive meeting.

What can you expect?

This magical encounter at Dolphin Academy begins at either 8:30, 11:00, and 14:00. While standing in waist-deep water you will be able to gently pet a dolphin who will then give you a kiss and a handshake. The trainer will teach you all about dolphins, their body parts, and their behaviors. After the information about dolphins you will continue with interactive program in the water that takes about 20 minutes. Prior to the program, you will receive instructions from the dolphin trainers. After the encounter, we advise that you stay and walk around in the Sea Aquarium. You can learn more about Curacao fascinating sea life, feed the nurse sharks, feed the flamingos and watch the sea lions steal the show! A great day out for the family.

Know before you go:

Entrance to the Sea Aquarium is included for participants
Babies up to and including 11 months of age are free of charge
Children ages 1 – 4 get a special price of $65
Toddlers and babies must be held by their parents
Children below a height of 1.30 m (4.27 ft) must be accompanied by a paying adult
For each child under 1.30 m (4.27 ft), there must be one paying adult present
Please arrive fifteen minutes before the program begins
This activity is safe for pregnant women
Family and friends are more than welcome to take photographs from the observer areas
All observers, including parents/guardians signing waivers for minors, are required to pay the entrance fee at Curacao Sea Aquarium
After your encounter, you can visit the gift store for pictures or a nice souvenir
There is a limit of max of 6 people, per 1 dolphin

Additional information:

Dolphin Academy is one of the only facilities in the world that works with trained dolphins in the open sea.
The dolphins reside on the premises of the Curacao Sea Aquarium in four primary lagoons interconnected by secondary basins and canals. The lagoons are in contact with the ocean, allowing a constant flow of fresh seawater and numerous fish and invertebrate species.

Refund and Cancellation Policy:

A cancellation up to 24 hours prior to departure of the tour entitles the guest to a 100% refund.
Less than 24 hours prior to departure, the guest receives no refund unless due to illness accompanied by a valid doctor's statement.
In case of illness, only the person who is ill will receive a 100% refund. Other participants within the same booking that cancel the tour will not receive a refund unless otherwise decided by the supplier depending on the circumstances.
No-shows, or if you miss the tour because you are too late, and cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled activity will be charged the full price.
In case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances the tour will be rescheduled, if rescheduling is not possible or the new time is inconvenient for you, a full refund will be issued.

Dolphin Encounter Perfect for Kids!

Our children had such an incredible hands on experience with the dolphins! My girls are 4 and 6 yrs old and the dolphin encounter was the exact level of interaction that they wanted. We first attended the dolphin show/demonstration at 10:30am, did the experience at 11:00am stayed for 1 hour to explore the aquarium (highly recommend) and then lunch at their cafe. The pictures they took were beautiful, so we purchased those too. Thanks for such a wonderful day! We booked directly through the dolphin academy, we did not book through our cruise. When we hopped off our cruise, we took a taxi to Mambo Beach. The aquarium was a 10 minute (shaded) walk from where they dropped us. If you are wanting to go to the beach afterwards, reserve a chair and umbrella while you're walking to the aquarium. They will be completely full when you are done with lunch around 1pm.

Fabulous

Fabulous experience! Dolphins are very well cared for and visitors are educated on their care, the does and don’t plus the entire experience was well worth the price. Best overall.

Had a great time!

While the aquarium is smaller, the kids had a great time during the different sessions they offered throughout the morning. We also did the dolphins academy and swam with the dolphins. We had a great time! Staff were great and friendly!

Incredible experience, highly recommend!

Our whole experience from start to finish was absolutely incredible! The Dolphins are very loved and very well cared for that is evident. Noel was amazing and he made the day absolutely perfect for us! Highly recommend and plan to visit every time we are in Curaçao!
